    Certified Financial Products Professional

    The DiCicco Financial Products Institute, LLC is offering the Certified Financial Products Professional certification. This highly desirable designation will be taught live and via webinars. This training program at the Institute covering financial products will consist of both the basic and advanced courses. Participants may or may not choose to take the certification examination at the end of the advanced course. The examination will be given at the conclusion of the advanced course. A waiver may be given for the basic course based on the background of the attendees for purposes of the certification examination. The topics taught will be conducted by both professors and practitioners with many years experience in the areas of finance, economics, accounting, and taxation.

    The major body of knowledge needed to pass the examination are as follows:

    Description of Courses

    The Financial Products Training Course (3 Days- 24 hours): This preeminent course introduces the world of financial instruments to both newly minted business school graduates and current finance practitioners seeking to gain an understanding of this highly complex and rewarding field.  The premise is to have attendees learn the very essentials of investment products and derivative fundamentals while also addressing its taxation and accounting reporting. Further, an introduction to financial engineering will be addressed. At the completion of the course, attendees will have gained the very essence of the field of financial products.

    The Advanced Course in Financial Products (3 Days- 24 hours): The advanced course on financial products will delve greater into the topics addressed in the basic course. Special emphasis will be placed on derivative products and its uses. As such, great lengths will be spent on financial engineering and its role in the marketplace. Special tax and accounting considerations will be referred to regularly. At the completion of this course, a certification ("CFPP"TM- Certified Financial Products ProfessionalTM) will be offered to those who have completed the basic and advanced courses and have passed a take home examination. All members holding CFPPs will be entitled to be listed in the Annual Publication of Certified Financial Products Professionals.

    Fees

    The cost for both the basic and advances courses are $1,800 each. Each course consists of 3 full days (24 hours).  A discount of $100 will be offered for enrollees taking both parts consecutively. All attendees of these reviews will receive a textbook plus additional written materials necessary to comprehend the topics as well succeeding in the certification examination.

     

    Chartered Family Office Specialist

    Exam Review Course

    Program Objective:
    This review course for the Chartered Family Office SpecialistTM (CFOS) certification examination prepares applicants for this professional designation.  The paramount goal of this certification is to enhance the knowledge base needed to successfully manage and operate a family office or any similar wealth management practice.  The Family Office Institute, an organization comprised of family offices and other financial advisory institutions, in conjunction with Florida Atlantic University is pleased to provide this review course to prepare for the 4 hour examination.  In light of the current environment, the focus of the examination is not only on the essentials financial topics but on due diligence.  It is the strong belief of the Family Office InstituteTM that special emphasis must be placed on investor due diligence.  Wealth managers and financial planners must be able to manage funds and advise clients of appropriate investments and risk management options

    I. Who should attend?
    This certification review course should be attended by family office personnel, wealth managers, financial planners, estate planners, CPAs, CFPs, Registered Investment Advisors, Trust Officers, and all other financial professionals. The CFOS designation will distinguish its members as it represents the standard for family offices.

    II. During the review course, what will you learn?
    All attendees will learn the necessary financial topics to be able to sit for the CFOS examination.  Since the topics are universal in nature, the examination is geared for worldwide participation.  All topics reviewed do not cover particular domestic statutes or tax law pertaining to a particular nation.  Some of the topics addressed during the review course are: 1) investments and performance measurements, 2) risk management and insurance, 3) estates and trusts, 4) economics, 5) anti-money laundering, 6) financial statement analysis, 7) due diligence, to name just a few.

    III. Program Outline:

    Instructional Method:
    The teaching approach is interactive and dynamic. Presentations are conducted in a variety of ways, including case studies, lectures and small group discussions. Various instructors, all with terminal degrees, will be lecturing on the various topics to enhance the learning experience.

    Certificate and the Chartered Office Family Specialist designation:
    All participants will receive a certificate upon satisfactory completion assignments, individual study assignments, learning assignments and class discussions. Classes will be conducted via webinars and/ or at selected locations. To receive the Chartered Family Office Specialist designation, the attendee must pass a four hour computer-based examination.
